Cristina Nunes

Cristina Nunes has been working in the field of ceramics for around 30 years.

After completing her degree in Visual Arts, she began working as a ceramics laboratory technician, which provided her with the knowledge and tools essential for developing the creative side that she is so passionate about.

She spent her early years as a ceramist painting tiles (mainly using traditional 17th-century techniques), and later discovered the creative potential of clay modeling.

Since then, she has been developing her pieces with the freedom and creative sensitivity that characterize her work.

Madalena Marques

Madalena Marques recalls her first contact with tile painting as a child, in her mother's studio.

As an architect, she has been interested in the use of earth/clay as a natural raw material on various scales — both in architecture and construction, and in the creation of ceramic objects.

Ceramics has been part of her life since an early age, but it was in the last five years that she developed a special interest in developing her own creations. In 2025, she will complete her Master's Degree in Ceramics and Glass Art and Science.

Always deeply marked by her fascination and involvement with the natural environment, her art reflects the need to understand and interpret it intimately.
